About FishTripFinder

FishTripFinder is a free, independent site for finding and comparing fishing charters across the United States — deep sea and inshore, lakes and rivers, private trips and party boats. Search a town, a state or the fish you’re after, compare captains side by side, then book directly with the captain or their booking site at the captain’s own price.

Why we built it

Booking a fishing charter usually means a dozen open tabs: every captain has their own website, prices hide in PDFs or Facebook posts, and booking platforms only show the boats that pay them. We wanted one place that lists the charters in a town — whether they use a booking platform or just answer the phone — with trips, prices and honest reviews you can actually compare.

For anglers

• Compare in one place — trips, trip lengths, boats, target species, prices and reviews, side by side.
• Book direct — you book and pay with the captain or their booking site, under their terms. We never take a booking fee or add anything to the price.
• Find what’s near you — search by town or state, or use “near me” to see the closest boats first.
• Real reviews — written by people who took the trip. Genuine negative reviews stay up.

For captains

• Free listing, no commission — we never take a cut of your bookings.
• Claim your listing — many charters are already listed from public business information. Claim yours in a few minutes to add trips, prices, photos and every place guests can book you.
• See what’s working — your dashboard shows how many anglers click through to your booking pages.
• Show it off — add a “Find us on FishTripFinder” badge to your own website.

What we promise

• Rankings aren’t for sale. Listings are ordered by reviews, whether the captain manages the listing and how complete it is — not by who pays.
• We don’t hide honest reviews. We remove spam, abuse and fake reviews, never genuine ones for being negative. See our Review Guidelines.
• The captain’s price is the price. We show what the captain or booking site charges and never mark it up.
• Your privacy matters. No advertising trackers, and your saved charters stay in your own browser. See our Privacy Policy.

Where our listings come from

Captains add and manage their own listings. To make the directory useful from day one, we also start listings from public business information — Overture Maps Foundation and OpenStreetMap data, plus each business’s own website — and invite the owners to claim and complete them. If something about a listing is wrong, or it’s your business and you’d like it removed, let us know and we’ll fix it.
