Cookie Policy
The few cookies and browser storage FishTripFinder uses — no advertising or analytics trackers.
FishTripFinder uses as little as possible: only cookies and browser storage the site needs to work. We don’t use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or analytics cookies, so there’s nothing to opt out of — and no cookie banner.
Cookies we set
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
wordpress_logged_in_…, wordpress_sec_… |

wordpress_test_cookie |

ftf_guest |
Lets a review written without an account keep its uploaded photos if the form needs fixing. | 1 day |
ftf_rp |

Browser storage
Two features store information in your own browser instead of on our servers:
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
ftf-saved (local storage) |
The charters you save with the heart button. | Until you clear your browser data |
ftf_near (session storage) |
Your rounded location for “near me” searches, only if you allow it. | Until you close the tab |
Cookies set by others
- Cloudflare may set a security cookie (such as
__cf_bm) to tell people from bots. It’s strictly necessary and doesn’t track you across sites. - Google Maps — when a page shows a map, Google may set cookies under its own cookie policy. Maps on listing pages only load when you scroll to them.
- Booking sites — once you click through to a captain’s website or a booking platform, that site’s own cookie policy applies.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block our own cookies you won’t be able to sign in, but you can still browse and search.
